Tart Apple Relish | 2009 Chardonnay (April 2012)
For a recent event, the 2012 Boulder Wine Trail Passport, we wanted to present truly magical pairings. We would be pouring two weekends at Savory Spice Shop in Boulder and asked Dan, the store owner, for recommendations on caterers who are also experts with his vast selection of spices. Dan recommended Kathryn and we couldn't have been more excited with the pairing results.
Our 2009 Chardonnay has light French Oak and Granny Smith apple flavors. Playing off the apple characteristics of the wine, Kathryn put together a Tart Apple Relish to top the Olive Oil & Sea Salt Crostini. You can find the complete recipe on Kathryn's Blog: Hungry Basket.
