New Home ImageAfter 7 vintages Settembre Cellars is moving to a larger facility with space for a tasting room! We had been actively searching for commercial space in Boulder for over a year. Wineries in Boulder, along with breweries & distilleries, are required to be located in industrial zoned areas. After months trying to find a suitable property to lease we made the plunge and together with Blake's sister, and a bottle of Volnay, we made the decision to purchase commercial property. Settembre Cellars took possession in January and before the end of the impromptu space warming celebration demolition began. It's been an incredible amount of work but we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel! The new facility is divided into three separate spaces: a tasting room in the front, winery in the center, and a crushpad in the back. To our winemaker's great excitement it will have a trench drain running through the crush pad & winery. The front of the building introduced itself to us with a maze of offices which have been removed. We've installed large glass windows between the tasting room and winery to allow clear viewing of the shiny stainless steel tanks and beautiful French Oak barrels that have been hidden from view since 2007. The winery & tasting room have two separate HVAC systems so we can keep the wine cool and you warm. In addition, we're also very excited to have our friend Elizabeth Mayne join Settembre Cellars to assist in the tasting room with Sales & Events! Beginning in June the tasting room will be open Friday, Saturday, & Sunday from 1-6pm and we can't wait to share our new home with you!

The 2013 vintage was a challenge, and an opportunity. There were frosts and as a result we were unable to produce a Chardonnay in 2013. The silver lining? We produced a wine we had not planned to begin making until 2014: a Cabernet Franc Rose! The wine is coming along nicely in the cellar and it has extraordinary aromatics; we will release it this spring as the 2013 Rosato. The quantity of Sangiovese grapes was also lower in 2013 but for the Sangiovese lover the good news is that although the 2009 vintage is long gone in 2010 Sangiovese was our largest production. The larger quantity of Sangiovese grapes meant that 2010 was the first year we were able to age the wine in full size, rather than quarter size, French Oak barrels; a change we are very pleased with in the finished wine. 63rd Street Farm
Thursday evenings beginning in June you will once again find us at 63rd Street Farm. 63rd Street Farm Image 2014 marks our 5th year at 63rd Street Farm and we're just as excited about joining Amanda & Brian on their beautiful farm as we were in 2010. How could we not be? Wood fired pizza topped with farm fresh veggies & Settembre Cellars Wine by the glass all just minutes from downtown Boulder. For those of you who plan on frequenting the farm this summer check out our Community Supported Wine CSW Shares. It's a great deal on Settembre Cellars Wine plus CSW Members receive discounts on wine by the glass at the farm. Last we checked, 63rd Street Farm still has CSA veggie shares available as well. If you want a mini-escape this summer feel free to stop by (it's not necessary to be a CSA or CSW member to join us).

Wine, Exclusive Bottles, Barrel Tasting, and Discounts: Check out our Wine Clubs! The March shipment includes all new releases: 2011 Riesling, 2010 Sangiovese, and 2009 Fusione. The Wine Club shipment price depends on the specific bottles included; the March shipment costs $93 for the 3-Bottle Club and $167.40 for the 6-Bottle Club plus tax & shipping. Also, beginning in June Wine Club Members will have the option to pickup their shipment at the winery.
